DAMNED WEATHER!

If you missed our May 4^th event, you really missed – nothing!  The day was cold, snowy, rainy, blustery, and all sorts of other bad stuff, too.  The event was cancelled.  Overs?  Sure, it has been rescheduled, but not until August 3^rd at the old Buttrey’s Warehouse site (pending site approval).  Too much going on right now to allow an immediate reschedule, we’re afraid.

WHAT’S NEXT?

Sunday, May 25, at the Helena Regional Airport, we return to the outstanding facility that saw such a glorious debut last year!  We will set the course Saturday night after the Missoula club finishes their event (Hey!  You could go over Saturday and autocross both days!) at the same location and be ready early Sunday.  We look for tech from 7:30 to 10:00 AM and competition runs commencing as early as 9:00.  If we are absolutely flooded with competitors we may have to cut registration off at 80 cars or so, so early is better.  There will also be a concession available at the track on Sunday, so starvation shouldn’t be a problem!

Remember, this event is being conducted with the Helena Mustang Club and it is Ford Motor Company’s 11^th Anniversary, so the blue oval folks will be out in force (if they’ll start!).  The Mustangers have a cruise scheduled to leave from the Colonial Inn at 6:00 PM Saturday evening out to the Legal Tender in Clancy.  It’s a cruise, not a straight drive.  Upon the return to the Colonial later Saturday night, there will be a dance and party for all.  $10 single and $15 for couples will get all your fun tickets punched for sure.  It will make going over to Helena Saturday afternoon look a lot better than an early morning Sunday blast through the canyon.
