SEPTEMBER MEETING MINUTES

Hey All, Please try to attend the next club meeting on the 30th of Sept at 7 pm(See Map for Directions). Below are topics that will be voted on.
Board Member Changes; Following 3 yr positions are open.

• Regional Executive; Currently Blue Manzanares
• Assistant RE; Currently Steve Johnson
• Treasure; Currently Kip Anderson

Folks!!! we need some new people to step up and fill these positions. I for one will be attending more SCCA Club Racing next year and probably wont be at some of our events. The Club needs someone who will and can be around to manage it. I will stay on as Assistant RE if a new RE is appointed and the Assistant RE isnt filled.

Here are the proposed 2011 rule changes presented at the last meeting and will be voted on incorporating into Section
I: Competition Regulation.
i. . Change 12.2 Official Region 105 point grid from the current system to the Axware timing software's 100 point system with descending points based on time finished to the fastest car in their class. One car classes only receive 87 points. Why?? Rick Cummings still does it manually right now. Axware does it as the season goes. See attached current report.

Rule Changes for 2011; Section II: Solo Events General Regulations
i. Change 11 to read "Vehicles will run with its windows either all the way down or all the way up".
ii. Change 14 to read "Parallel Ladies classes will be provided for females who wish to enter them" this is IAW 2010 SOLO rule 4.7. or we remove this rule entirely because I affects rule 10 if we don't offer a ladies class; on the national level and technically you can have 2 men and 2 women drive the same car.

Rule Changes for 2011; Section III: SOLO Event Tech and Safety Inspection Rules
i. Change 1 to read "All cars will be presented to a Technical/Safety inspection annually or prior to competition".
ii. Change the following sentence "Battery must be secure" in 9 to "Battery must be secured by metal or approved plastic hold down"

Other proposed changes
1. Increase fees at Expo Park from $20 / $25 to $25 / $30 to cover the cost of the facility.

We will also discuss the Annual Banquet. I propose we have it Friday Oct 22nd prior to all the other holiday parties. Place is still being determined.
